Sony Interactive Entertainment Japan Asia has released a new commercial for PlayStation 5 featuring the Japanese girl group Atarashii Gakko! titled “Get ready for amazing games on PS5 with Atarashii Gakko!” The commercial features the song “BORN TO BE FREE!!!!,” first released in summer 2023, and highlights the recently released Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth and the upcoming FOAMSTARS, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth and Rise of the Ronin. Additionally, it includes a dance performance inspired by PlayStation shapes and improvised by the girls.
The “Get Ready for Great Games” campaign also highlights highly anticipated titles such as Dragon’s Dogma II, Persona 3 Reload, Tekken 8 and Granblue Fantasy: Relink. With this advertising strategy, Sony Interactive Entertainment Japan Asia seeks to create enthusiasm among Japanese gamers and promote upcoming releases for the PlayStation 5 console.
