The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered stealth-launched just four days ago, but it’s already clocked up over four million players.
That’s according to developer Bethesda, which thanked players on social media overnight.
“We are so grateful to the over 4 million of you that have already ventured into Cyrodiil with Oblivion Remastered,” the developer said over a close-up on the face of the Hero of Kvatch. “Thank you!”
Oblivion has been remade by port developer Virtuos’ Paris studio, in collaboration with Bethesda, and this new version is a ground-up remake built in Unreal Engine 5, designed to run at 4K 60fps. There are already over 100 mods available for Oblivion Remastered, even though Bethesda said it won’t offer any official mod support.
