In an exciting announcement during Gamescom 2023: Opening Night Live, publisher Quantic Dream and developer Read Thread Games have revealed that the single-player action-adventure game with an immersive narrative, “Dustborn“will be released for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC through Steam and Epic Games Store in early 2024. This proposal promises to take players to a world of hope, love, friendships, robots and the power of words.
“Dustborn” immerses players in an exciting journey in a world where language can become a powerful weapon. Players take on the role of Pax, an exile and conman with the ability to twist words into tools of combat. Searching for a new life and a way out, Pax has been hired to transport an important package from Pacifica to Nova Scotia, through the justice-controlled American Republic. A legitimate reason for a road trip, right? So pack your bags, assemble a team with quirky abilities, and get ready to tour the country!
Players will have the opportunity to explore the stunning neo-Western landscapes of an alternate history America, all while traveling on a robot-powered tour bus. Along the way, you’ll visit a dozen locations to build your team, manage relationships, complete missions, and take on increasingly difficult challenges. However, the people they stole the package from want it back, and overbearing Justice is hot on their heels, so don’t forget to pack your baseball bat! (And, oh yeah, they’re traveling undercover as a punk-rock band, so they’ll definitely have to brush up on their musical skills before their next concert.)
