New Genshin Impact update now available

The long-awaited 4.1 update of Genshin Impact, titled “Towards the Stars That Shine Deep,” was announced by developer miHoYo and will be available starting September 27. This update promises exciting new features for players of this hit game.

In this update, Fontaine will expand north, where the main story continues with Neuvillette and Wriothesley joining the cast of playable characters. Additionally, the Harbinger Fatui known as “Arlecchino” will make its debut in the game. To celebrate the third anniversary of Genshin Impact, special rewards will be awarded including 10 Intertwined Fates, 1,600 Primogems, and two exclusive devices.

The story will take place in the prosperous Court of Fontaine, and the new northern area will reveal the history and mysteries of the nation from different perspectives. The Meropide Fortress, hidden deep under the sea, will house Fontaine exiles and reveal vital functions and mysteries. The Archon’s final quest will begin here as the Traveler searches for Childe. The “Allogravity-Condensed Water Bodies” and floating ruins will recount a deadly attempt by the Fontaine Research Institute to survive a prophesied great flood. Dangers await as players explore the new underwater area and ruins.

As for enemy bosses, the “Millennial Pearl Seahorse” is a beautiful creature that deals electrical damage, while the “Experimental Field Generator” is an uncontrolled research device used to counteract the effects of gravity, allowing enemies to Players jump higher and evade their attacks.

Two important Fontaine characters will become five-star playable characters: Neuvillette, Fontaine’s Iudex, and Wriothesley, the Meropide Fortress Administrator. Neuvillette can unleash torrents in a straight line that deal hydro damage through charged attacks, while Wriothesley is adept at using melee attacks to deal cryo damage. Both characters can consume health to launch certain types of attacks and then regain their health.

This update also features a poetry festival in Mondstadt and Liyue, offering a great opportunity to gather with friends and celebrate friendship and love. The festival will include several mini-games and an exclusive four-star catalyst that can be redeemed. Additionally, as Genshin Impact’s third anniversary approaches, more rewards will be able to be claimed through a special daily login event, offering up to 10 Intertwined Fates and other bonuses.

Players will be able to enjoy this exciting update on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, PC through the Epic Games Store, iOS through the App Store, and Android through Google Play. Additionally, a version for Nintendo Switch has been announced in the future.
