New video shows the gameplay of Dragon’s Dogma II

Capcom has released a nine-minute gameplay video that immerses players in the gameplay of Dragon’s Dogma II, the long-awaited sequel to the action RPG. Dragon’s Dogma II director Hideaki Itsuno kicked off Capcom’s Tokyo Game Show 2023 Online Special Program, providing the first in-depth look at the expansive world of Dragon’s Dogma II.

The presentation, which lasted approximately ten minutes, included a detailed explanation of the AI companions known as Pawns, the different vocations available, and the two nations that players will explore during their journey. Itsuno also offered a look at the numerous ways players will be able to use their creativity to venture into this immersive world when Dragon’s Dogma II is released.

Dragon’s Dogma II is a narrative action RPG that immerses players in an immersive fantasy world like the Chosen One. You’ll lead a group of up to three AI companions known as Pawns, including your own custom main Pawn and up to two additional Pawns that can be recruited from other players or in offline mode. Before undertaking each mission on your journey, it is essential to organize your party and ensure that each member can leverage the others’ strengths and mitigate their weaknesses by tactically selecting their vocations.

When players begin their adventure in Dragon’s Dogma II, they will be able to choose their desired play style from the four vocations initially available: Warrior, Archer, Thief and Mage. Players can change the vocation of their Chosen and their primary Pawn at any time by visiting Vocation Guilds around the world and unlock new vocations as they progress through the game.

Dragon’s Dogma II is in development for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam. A release date has not yet been announced, but fans can expect an exciting and immersive gaming experience in this fantasy world. Stay tuned for more details on this highly anticipated title.
