Kitfox Games announces Loose Leaf: a charming occult game about tea and tarot reading for PC via Steam.

Boyfriend Dungeon developer Kitfox Games has revealed their next project: loose leaf, an occult and sandbox game that focuses on tea brewing and tarot card reading. The release, which will come to PC through Steam, does not yet have a specific date.

Tanya Fox, creative director and co-founder of Kitfox Games, shared in a press release that the idea for Loose Leaf came from her personal experience. “My mother read tarot for friends when I was a child, and only accepted silver as payment, joking that she was a witch,” Fox mentioned. “When I started reading tarot myself as an adult, for fun, and some Kitfox artists “They said they wanted to make a game about making tea and we started talking about witches, I knew we could follow our hearts and create something really unique and true to ourselves.”

According to the Steam page, Loose Leaf poses unique challenges, as each tea requires specific times to infuse perfectly, or else they will turn bitter. From brewing a cup of chamomile tea to perfectly pouring matcha, the game features a variety of culinary and magical challenges. Clients will seek guidance in their next steps, and players must read their cards and listen carefully to help them in this safe corner of a dark world.

The plot also promises mysteries, as players will follow clues to mysterious ingredients and tools left by the previous tea master. Through crafting recipes and reading cards, players will be able to discover what kind of witch they really are, whether it’s a helpful healer, a mischievous sorcerer, an ominous herald of the apocalypse, or something else entirely. With Loose Leaf, Kitfox Games seeks to offer a unique and authentic experience in this magical and mysterious corner.
