Alone in the Dark delayed to March 20, 2024: THQ Nordic prioritizes team well-being

THQ Nordic and Pieces Interactive have announced the delay of Alone in the Dark from its originally planned release date of January 16, 2024 to March 20. This long-awaited survival horror game will be available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC through Steam and GOG.

THQ Nordic’s statement expresses the decision to reschedule the release out of consideration for the well-being of the development team at Pieces Interactive. The holiday season, originally close to the planned release date, could have created additional stress and pressure for the team, and the company is looking to avoid any crunch situations during the holidays.

The new release date of March 20, 2024 will provide the team with the time necessary to ensure Alone in the Dark meets and exceeds community expectations. The release highlights the participation of Hollywood stars such as David and Jodie, who play leading roles in the game, and their performances are expected to contribute to an exceptional experience.

Although the news may disappoint eager fans, THQ Nordic assures that patience will be rewarded and that they are excited to deliver a terrifying and outstanding experience on March 20, 2024.
