Square Enix announces downloadable content for Final Fantasy XVI: “Echoes of the Fallen” and “The Rising Tide”

Square Enix has excited fans by revealing new downloadable content for Final Fantasy XVI. The DLCs titled “Echoes of the Fallen” and “The Rising Tide” will expand the gaming experience, immersing players in new plots and challenges. “Echoes of the Fallen” is available today for $9.99, while “The Rising Tide” is scheduled for release in Spring 2024. Those looking to purchase both packs can opt for the Expansion Pass, available for $24.99.

Exploring Mysteries and Unraveling Secrets in “Echoes of the Fallen”

In “Echoes of the Fallen,” players will embark on a mysterious new adventure as the sun sets over the land of Valisthea. Strange dark crystals begin to circulate on the black market, raising the question of whether they could be the sinister fruit of a long-dormant Crystal Mother, one the world never knew existed. Clive and his group set out to find answers, encountering a group of suspicious merchants. Their trail leads them to an abandoned tower known as the Sagespire and the terrible secrets that await within. This new quest will be available after unlocking Origin as a destination on the world map and completing the quests “Where There’s a Will” and “Priceless.”

Expansion Pass Details and Future Development

The Expansion Pass, which includes both “Echoes of the Fallen” and “The Rising Tide,” offers players the opportunity to enjoy both downloadable content for $24.99, providing a complete and continuous experience in the world of Final Fantasy XVI.

Final Fantasy XVI, currently available for PlayStation 5, has also announced its development for PC. The content expansion promises to give players even more reasons to immerse themselves in the game’s captivating universe, exploring additional plots and challenging players with exciting new puzzles. Stay tuned for more details as “The Rising Tide” gets closer to release in spring 2024.
