Grimoire of Games has announced Sword of the Necromancer: Resurrectiona 3D remake of the successful Sword of the Necromancer released in 2021. This new title will be available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC (via Steam) in 2024, ahead of the previously released announced for Sword of the Necromancer: Revenant.
Sword of the Necromancer: Resurrection is a reimagining of the original monster-summoning dungeon crawler, based on the Sword of the Necromancer: Revenant engine. It offers new battle forms, revamped mechanics and systems, including the ability to customize the artificial intelligence of summoned monsters. In addition, it will feature remastered illustrations and dubbing in English and Japanese, as well as new scenes that delve into the tragic love story of Tama and Koko.
By completing Sword of the Necromancer: Resurrection, players will unlock bonuses in Sword of the Necromancer: Revenant, such as the ability to summon bosses from the remake as special summons.

Sword of the Necromancer: Resurrection is a dungeon crawling action RPG with procedural elements, where you can revive your defeated enemies to fight at your side. Control Tama as she descends into the depths of the dungeon in order to gain enough power to bring Koko back from the dead. Gather a small army of monsters, equip yourself with weapons and relics, and level up to take on the guardians that stand in your way.
History:
Legend has it that, deep in these mountains, a heretic decided to violate the will of the gods to achieve eternal life. The heretic succeeded in this aberrant attempt and created a tool for forbidden rituals that could grant immortality and even return the dead. Over the years, many have attempted to gain that power for themselves, but all they found in the Necromancer’s crypt was their undoing. They say that the tool that the Necromancer created is also a weapon… the Necromancer Sword.
Tama, an ex-rogue, is charged with escorting the priestess Koko on her pilgrimage across the continent. During her journey, Koko dies and Tama takes her corpse to the Necromancer’s crypt, where legends say a power resides that can resurrect the dead. Full of desperation, Tama will enter the dungeon with the aim of obtaining the forbidden power of necromancy, ignoring the dangers that lurk in the shadows.
