ATLUS announces Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance for multiple platforms

ATLUS has announced Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch and PC (Steam, Microsoft Store). The release is scheduled for June 21st globally, with pre-orders opening on February 27th. Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance is an enhanced version of Shin Megami Tensei V, which originally released for Switch in November 2021.

About the game

The latest installment in the series, Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance allows players to enjoy the story of Shin Megami Tensei V in its entirety, with a new story path not told in the original. Massively expanded with new areas, demons, and music, Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance features more accessible gameplay, an improved battle system, new demon experiences, and greater countryside exploration.

When a grisly murder scene in modern-day Tokyo blocks the protagonist’s path home, an unplanned detour leaves him buried and unconscious. He finds himself in an apocalypse-ravaged wasteland now called Da’at. Before the bloodthirsty demons can take his life, a savior emerges and they unite to become a powerful being, neither human nor demon: a Nahobino.

Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance offers a complete RPG that can be enjoyed by existing and new fans. At the start of the game, players will choose between two paths: the story told in Shin Megami Tensei V, the Canon of Creation, or the new Canon of Revenge. This dramatic new tale of revenge features new characters, an enigmatic cohort of demons called the Qadištu, and a new dungeon and map to explore. Additionally, Shin Megami Tensei V’s original battle system, demon fusion, and countryside exploration have been evolved and expanded in this new entry in the series.

Pre-orders for the Nintendo Switch family of systems (physical only), PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Steam, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC will begin on February 27, 2024. Details on digital pre-orders for Nintendo Switch will be announced at a later date.
