Priced at £74.99 / $79.99, the controller is scheduled for release on 30th April, preceding the launch of Doom: The Dark Ages. Its design directly incorporates the medieval-futuristic aesthetic of the upcoming game, featuring a matte green finish reminiscent of armor, silver 3D helmet spike accents, and ABXY buttons marked with the Sentinel alphabet.

Beyond its visual design, the limited edition controller functions as a standard Xbox Wireless Controller, ensuring broad compatibility across Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Windows PCs via Bluetooth or USB-C, and cloud gaming services. As a bonus, each purchase includes a DLC code for the Doom Slayer Executioner skin in Doom: The Dark Ages, offering players a cosmetic enhancement for the game.

For fans of premium controllers, Microsoft has also announced a Doom: The Dark Ages edition of the Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2. This variant adopts a more understated aesthetic, featuring a black body with maroon accents on the buttons and analogue sticks, punctuated by a prominent red Mark of the Slayer in the centre. Priced at £179.99 / $199.99, this Elite controller will be available from 25th April, with pre-orders open now from Microsoft.
