Elden Ring Nightreign maintenance makes matchmaking less of a headache

FromSoftware has now fixed an annoying issue in Elden Ring Nightreign to assist with matchmaking.

The game has been criticised for its poor matchmaking, but one key issue is that it won’t work if multiple players are in an active Remembrance. These are story missions dedicated to each of the eight playable characters.

However, server maintenance this morning has “improved expedition matchmaking with an active Remembrance”, said FromSoftware.

Elden Ring Nightreign was criticised for a number of issues at launch, but FromSoftware has been busy with patches to tweak the game.

A day one patch was released ahead of launch to make balance adjustments, while a further patch was released earlier this week to make it easier for solo players.

FromSoftware has also confirmed a two-player option is on the way, and will be added “at a later date”. This remains one of the biggest criticisms from players, despite the game being designed for three player co-operative multiplayer.

Still, for those struggling with the game, take solace in the fact the game’s director Junya Ishizaki has managed to beat the entire game solo without using any Relics. Show off.
