Rainbow Cotton, the classic 3D shooter, returns remastered in spring 2024

ININ Games has announced that it will release a remastered version of the 3D shooter Rainbow Cottonoriginally developed by SUCCESS Corporation, for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam in Spring 2024. This news will excite fans of the game, as Rainbow Cotton was first released for Dreamcast on January 20, 2000 in Japan, but never came to the West.

Rainbow Cotton is the fifth installment in the acclaimed Cotton franchise and is the first true 3D shooter entry in this popular “cute ’em up” game genre. Players take on the role of the young witch Cotton, accompanied by her loyal fairy friend named Silk. The story follows Cotton on his quest to recover the legendary Willow, promised by her delicious taste and stolen by the evil demon Tweed and his followers in the enchanting land of York Country. Get ready for a wild adventure on your broom!

Rainbow Cotton features exciting gameplay reminiscent of its predecessor, the classic Panorama Cotton game. Players will embark on an arcade-inspired journey through a fantastical world full of surprises and challenges. Each stage in Rainbow Cotton is guarded by a massive boss that will test your skills to the max. He collects upgrades, stockpiles flashy projectiles, and launches them at colorful enemies. Use powerful magic attacks to clear the screen with fireballs and lightning bolts. Only the bravest (and most stubborn!) witches will prevail!

The enchanting 3D graphics will leave you captivated as you travel through locations such as a cozy village illuminated by Christmas lights, a mysterious sunken forest, and a magical castle in the clouds. Fans of classic games and new players will have the chance to enjoy this remastered gem in Spring 2024. Stay tuned for more details and immerse yourself in the magic of Rainbow Cotton!
