Acquire announces Ancient Weapon Holly, a new roguelike action game for 2024

Acquire has surprised video game lovers by announcing Ancient Weapon Holly, an exciting roguelike action game and the second title in their portfolio of self-published games. This new game will be available for PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam in 2024. Additionally, both Ancient Weapon Holly and the previously announced XALADIA: Rise of the Space Pirates X2 will be available for the public to try out at PAX West 2023 in Seattle, Washington, from September 1 to 4, and at the Tokyo Game Show 2023 in Chiba, Japan, from September 21 to 24.

According to Acquire president Takuma Endo: “We believe that a powerful autonomous weapon in the form of a young girl who hates humans offers a completely fresh approach to dungeon crawlers that action players will enjoy. The team can’t wait to deliver a hands-on experience with Holly at PAX West and the Tokyo Game Show next month!”

Ancient Weapon Holly tells the story of a humanoid weapon sealed deep within a labyrinth due to its potential to bring about the downfall of humanity. He awakens after a dream that lasted thousands of years with a burning desire for revenge against humans. Players will experience an exciting roguelike action game in which they must protect the source of their stolen power, the altar. Destroy the doors that block your path and seek to overcome the levels. Use the magic stones you obtain to evolve Holly and expand the altar, deepening your strategies.

Ancient Weapon Holly promises a unique and exciting gaming experience that is sure to keep players on the edge of their seats as they immerse themselves in its intriguing story and challenging challenges. Get ready for the exciting launch in 2024!
