Lords of the Fallen exceeds one million copies sold in its first 10 days of release

The action role-playing game Lords of the Fallen is off to an impressive start, reaching over a million copies sold in its first 10 days of release. The news was announced by publisher CI Games and developer Hexworks, who shared their excitement over the game’s success.

“Lords of the Fallen is the most important and ambitious game we have developed in our 20-year history, and the first in our new line of AAA games planned for the coming years,” said CI Games CEO Marek Tyminski in a press release. “Seeing this fresh and innovative take on the action RPG reach one million sales in just 10 days has been humbling for everyone at Hexworks and CI Games.”

Saul Gascon, studio head at Hexworks, also expressed his gratitude: “Thank you to all the ‘Lampbearers’ who have embarked on their journeys through Mournstead, bravely traversing the lands of the living and the dead. We are incredibly grateful to the passionate Lords of the Fallen community for their valuable feedback and continued support. “It is their unwavering dedication that has made this success possible, and we couldn’t be more proud to share it with them.”

Lords of the Fallen launched for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store on October 13. Since its launch, Hexworks has released a series of patches that improve performance and introduce new gameplay mechanics, including a revamped New Game Plus mode. Additionally, it was announced that starting tonight there will be cross-play between PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series, and cross-play between consoles and PC is expected to be reactivated as part of an upcoming update scheduled for October 26.

The success of Lords of the Fallen highlights its fresh approach to the action RPG genre and the community enthusiasm that has supported it since its release. Players can expect more content and improvements as the game continues to develop and evolve.
