Publisher Secret Mode and developer The Chinese Room have released a new trailer for Still Wakes the Deep, a psychological horror game, which shows the gameplay for the first time. The trailer offers an intriguing look at the game’s unique setting: the Beira D oil platform, located off the coast of Scotland.
The gameplay video is divided into two parts, beginning after a catastrophic event that rocked the drilling platform, with protagonist Caz McLeary trapped beneath the ruined Beira D structure, desperate to find an escape route. Viewers are then taken into the claustrophobic bowels of the oil rig, where Caz must navigate tight spaces and brave flooded hallways to avoid detection by an unknown horror that has arrived on board.
Still Wakes the Deep is scheduled to be released on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam and the Microsoft Store in early 2024. Additionally, it will be available via Xbox Game Pass.
