Monster Hunter opens a special site for its twentieth anniversary

Capcom has announced the opening of the series’ 20th anniversary website monster hunter. The Monster Hunter series will celebrate its 20th anniversary on March 11, 2024. The first game in the series, Monster Hunter, was released for the PlayStation 2 on March 11, 2004 in Japan.

The website currently features the Monster Hunter 20th Anniversary logo, the “Hunter Edition” of the 20th Anniversary main image, and a message from the development team. However, more announcements are planned for the future.

Here is the full message from the development team:

The Monster Hunter series will celebrate its 20th anniversary in March 2024. We, the Monster Hunter team, want to express our sincere gratitude to each of our players. We have only been able to reach this significant milestone thanks to your support.

In the first installment in 2004, players could use five different weapons and start from two settlements: Kokoto and Minegarde. Since then, the long journey of the last two decades has seen hunters traverse snow-capped mountains, the bottom of the sea, ancient ruins and unknown continents.

We are overwhelmed by the love and enthusiasm that you all have poured into the series over the years. Your valuable feedback and contributions have constantly helped us add user-friendly updates and develop even better gaming experiences with each new title.

Monster Hunter: World managed to resonate with people all over the world. Even though the pandemic prevented us from meeting many of you directly, you have sent us so many warm messages online. We can’t thank you enough for everything you’ve given to the series.

With 20 years of success behind us, we hope to build on this momentum and bring you bigger, better, and even more exciting hunting experiences that will thrill and amaze you. We invite all of you, dear hunters, to join us on the journey ahead.

Monster Hunter fans have plenty of reasons to be excited, as Capcom promises to bring even more exciting hunting experiences in the future. The series’ 20th anniversary will be a celebration of two decades of monster hunting, and players can expect big surprises and thrills in this exciting journey ahead.
