Fans of wild action have reason to celebrate, as Konami and WayForward have announced Against: Operation Galuga, a new entry in the iconic side-scrolling action shooter series. This title will arrive on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch and PC through Steam in early 2024.

A new installment in the legendary Contra series has arrived! Contra: Operation Galuga is a complete reimagining of the classic 80s action shooter, featuring modern graphics and sound, new levels, enemies and bosses, new gameplay mechanics, an updated weapons system, and explosive cooperative combat for up to two players in Story Mode or four players in Arcade Mode.
When the terrorist group Red Falcon takes control of the Galuga Islands off the coast of New Zealand, elite Contra commandos Bill Rizer and Lance Bean spring into action, starting an all-out war in which the fate of humanity Hang on a wire. Run, jump and gun your way through eight levels using a devastating arsenal, including scattershot, laser and homing missiles, now with stackable upgrades and amazing Overload abilities! The intense action is customizable with three difficulty levels and a variety of additional challenges. Contra’s true heritage begins now!
