PLAYISM has announced its collaboration with WSS playground to co-publish the episodic sci-fi horror adventure game “Boyhood’s End“. The first episode is scheduled for release on PC via Steam this fall.
“Boyhood’s End” presents an intriguing premise in a world ruled by a mechanical lord named “R. Karellen.” In this world, every aspect of a person’s life is rated with a “human score,” and R. Karellen makes decisions about everything from academic and professional careers to romantic interests and daily meals.
The protagonist, Giovanni, has the lowest human score of the entire human race and faces constant bullying both at school and online. However, one day, everything and everyone at school starts attacking Giovanni, trying to “reform” him and increase his human score by making him “more human.” In the midst of this chaos, Giovanni meets Campanella, an eccentric genius, and together they embark on a journey on a driverless train on the galactic route.
As they explore this hardcore sci-fi world, Giovanni and Campanella will encounter great leaders from the past and pull off risky and destructive “pranks.” Their journey will lead them to face the end of their own childhood while uncovering twisted mysteries and horrors.
“Boyhood’s End” promises a unique experience with its combination of science fiction and horror in an episodic setting. Players will be able to solve puzzles, explore a hand-drawn pixel art world, and follow Giovanni’s gripping story in this intriguing adventure game.
