The development company Arc System Works and the developer French-Bread will organize an open beta test for Under Night In-Birth II Sys:Celes on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4. The beta will be available from November 16 at 5:00 pm PT / 8:00 pm ET until November 19 at 11:00 pm PT / November 20 at 2:00 am ET, according to the companies’ announcement.
In collaboration with French-Bread, Under Night In-Birth II Sys:Celes presents the final chapter in the “Hollow Night” story, which began with the first installment of the series more than a decade ago. This original fighting game features fresh action, powerful duels, fantastic visual environments, 21 returning characters, new In-Births joining the cast, captivating background music, and for the first time in the series, it has been implemented fallback netcode.
Players take on the role of the protagonist, Hyde, a high school young man who, upon encountering the mysterious Linne, awakens his inner EXS powers. Together, they fight to defeat the fearsome Paradox. This leads to the appearance of the enigmatic Kuon the Aeon, who crushes the two victors and proclaims his coming for the end of the world. Linne disappears and Hyde, determined to save his world of Kuon, ventures alone into the Night…
Under Night In-Birth II Sys:Celes is scheduled to release globally on January 25, 2024 on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Switch, and PC via Steam. Update 11/08/23: Arc System Works has changed the open beta test dates. Instead of November 17-20, it will now take place November 16-19.
