SNK announces major update for The King of Fighters XV with the introduction of the “Advance Strike” system

SNK has revealed that it will release a major update for The King of Fighters XV on January 30, introducing the new “Advance Strike” system, according to the developer’s announcement. This system promises to offer an innovative way to defend against physical grabs and strikes, allowing for even more aggressive plays than possible with Shatter Strikes.

Description of the “Advance Strike” system by SNK: Raising the intensity of combat

The “Advance Strike” is presented as an excellent way to repel grabs and physical blows, providing a more aggressive approach than the already known Shatter Strikes. This new mechanic costs half the power bar to execute, but you will get that half back on both hits and blocks. Upon impact, the “Advance Strike” causes a hard fall, strategically positioning you to continue with more offensives.

Unlike Shatter Strikes, this move gains a hitbox against grabs mid-execution; If it hits while the counter is active, your opponent will collapse to the ground, leaving them prone to follow up with more attacks. Use Advance Strikes to take the fight to your opponent like never before!

The King of Fighters XV: Available on various platforms

The King of Fighters XV game is now available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, and PC through Steam, Epic Games Store, and Microsoft Store.

This update promises to dynamically change the strategy in the game, offering players new ways to approach combat. Get ready to experience the impact of the “Advance Strike” system starting January 30 and take your fighting skills to the next level!
