Turn-based tactical strategy game Highwater, set in a climate change apocalypse, will release on March 14

Turn-based tactical strategy game Highwater, set in a climate change apocalypse, will launch on March 14 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store, it was announced publisher Rogue Games and developer Demagog Studio. Highwater made its initial debut for iOS via the App Store and Android via Google Play on March 14, exclusively for Netflix subscribers.

Winner of Gold NYX Awards for Best PC Visual Art and Best PC Indie, Highwater takes place after a climate catastrophe that has submerged the entire world. Join Nikos and his friends as they attempt to sneak onto a rumored rocket to Mars as they explore nautical environments, fight insurgents, and navigate the seas with Highwater Pirate Radio’s original music playing quietly in the background.

In Highwater, the experience of the small victories, hard knocks, and strange obstacles of this peculiar journey is more important and interesting than the hopeful destination. Even though the Earth is sinking, it looks surprisingly good. Admire stunning waterways before setting foot on potentially dangerous lands. Take on enemies with classic turn-based combat and use objects scattered around the environment such as oars, harpoons, fishing rods, shopping carts and more to secure the advantage.

After defeating the rascals, spend time with an unusual but hilarious cast of characters as you grill rat skewers over a burning oil drum and enjoy the scenery. A new life awaits you! Escape the severely damaged region of the War Zone, infiltrate the impenetrable frontier of the exclusive ultra-rich city of Alphaville, and reach a new horizon before it’s too late.
