Furniture & Mattress Announces Puzzle Adventure Game Arranger: A Role-Puzzling Adventure for PlayStation 5, Switch, and PC

Furniture & Mattress has announced the release of a new puzzle adventure game called Arranger: A Role-Puzzling Adventure. The game will be available for PlayStation 5, Switch, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store in 2024.

Arranger: A Role-Puzzling Adventure is brought to life by the uniquely picturesque art style of David Hellman (Braid), the inventive writing of Nick Suttner (Carto), and the ingenious puzzles of Nicolas Recabarren (Ethereal). It also features music by composer Tomás Batista (Per Aspera).

Furniture & Mattress co-founder Nick Suttner commented in a press release: “We started talking about this project on March 10, 2020, so obviously a lot has changed in the world since then. But we’ve done our best to stay positive in a challenging gaming environment, and to create something beautiful, fresh, and memorable that stays true to each of our sensibilities. Although we’ve all been in games for a while, this was an important project for all of us: my first time working on a game from start to finish, Nico’s first time shipping a wide-ranging game on multiple platforms, and first David’s full game project from Braid. Thank you to anyone who gives it a chance, it means a lot to us!”

About the game:

Arranger: A Role-Puzzling Adventure follows the story of Jemma, a small-town misfit on a journey of self-discovery. Venturing beyond the cozy but suffocating confines of it, she finds an inspiring world, but also one ruled by fear and a strange, immovable “static” force. Can she disrupt a culture of stagnation and find a place to fit in?

Gameplay takes place on a single, interconnected grid that spans the entire world, nimbly uniting movement, exploration and combat. When Jemma moves, the world moves with her, creating both a playful sense of chaos and a regular stream of thoughtful little puzzles that twist and play with the central mechanism.
