Llamasoft: The Jeff Minter Storythe second entry in the Gold Master Series of Digital Eclipsewill be released for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch and PC via Steam on March 13announced the developer.
The game offers an insight into the history of Jeff Minter, a game developer known for his unique style in the 1980s and 1990s in the United Kingdom. From classics like Gridrunner until Revenge of the Mutant CamelsMinter’s work is a combination of gunshots, sheep, lasers and flames.
Llamasoft: The Jeff Minter Story includes 42 classic games from eight different platforms, from his early work on the Sinclair ZX81 and Commodore VIC-20 to his forays into the Spectrum, Commodore 64, Atari 800, and more. Gridrunner: Remasteredan updated version of Minter’s signature shooter, promises an exciting experience with modern graphics and sound, while keeping gameplay true to the original.
In addition to the classics known as Sheep In Space and Metagalactic Flames Battle at the Edge of Time, the game also offers new features to enhance the gaming experience. Also included are two of Minter’s first “light synthesizers,” Psychedelia and Colorspacealong with a demonstration of Attack of the Mutant Camels for the unreleased Konix Multi-System console.
Digital Eclipseknown for its innovative approaches such as the collection Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collectionpresents with the Gold Master series a unique way to experience the history of games and their creators in an “interactive documentary” format.
