Die Gute Fabrik stops production of new titles due to extreme difficulties

Die Gute Fabrik, the developer of Saltsea Chronicles and Mutazione, has announced that it has paused production of new titles due to “extreme difficulties” in the independent publishing and investment scene. The company made this decision to provide support to its team and seek new financing opportunities.

The pause in production began on February 19, with the goal of allowing the current team to have a month of paid time off. The company will still seek financing to resume production, but has decided to publicly announce this situation so that the team can look for new job opportunities.

Die Gute Fabrik is also committed to providing professional guidance and support to its staff as they seek new positions. The company’s management team, led by Nils Deneken as CEO, will also be looking for new job opportunities.

Despite this pause in the production of new titles, Die Gute Fabrik will continue to operate and support its previously released titles. If the company manages to secure financing in the coming years, production will resume under the leadership of Nils Deneken.

This announcement reflects the current challenges faced by many companies in the independent video game space and highlights the importance of financial stability for the continued development of creative projects in the digital entertainment industry.
