Snap It An Eclipse Photo Adventure is the name of the free game for PC which NASA has launched to promote interest in astronomy, coinciding with the total solar eclipse on April 8, 2024
In Snap It! An Eclipse Photo Adventure, players help a character called the Traveler take photos of the Sun during a solar eclipse. The game, aimed at children ages 7 and up, is designed to teach about eclipses and objects that transit, or pass in front of, the Sun. During the game, players can use different camera filters to change the view of the Sun and capture images that you can then decorate and turn into postcards to share with friends and family.
In-game images show various aspects of the adventure, including an animated representation of the Traveler, eclipse scenes, and various gameplay interfaces that illustrate how players can interact with the game environment to capture images of the eclipse. You can also see custom postcards that players can create within the game.
