ARK: Survival Ascended, the long-awaited remake of ARK: Survival Evolved with Unreal Engine 5, is now available in Early Access for PC via Steam with a 10 percent discount during launch week, priced at $40.49. Releases for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series will take place in November, according to the announcement from Studio Wildcard, Snail (publisher), and developers Grove Street Games and Instinct Games.
The PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series versions were originally planned to launch alongside the PC version, but were delayed to November due to critical issues identified in the multiplayer version of the game that would have a major impact on consoles.
The Early Access version of ARK: Survival Ascended includes “The Island,” the game’s first official map, as well as official mod support. It is expected to remain in Early Access until the end of 2024, with all of ARK: Survival Evolved’s expansions and more worlds scheduled to be released as updates during this Early Access period.
In ARK: Survival Ascended, players will immerse themselves in a dinosaur survival experience completely reimagined with Unreal Engine 5. Players wake up on a mysterious island, surrounded by dazzling colors and jungle sounds, challenged to form tribes, tame hundreds of species of dinosaurs and other prehistoric creatures, explore, build and climb the food chain.
