Shanghai Summer, a nostalgic adventure, will be released on February 8 for multiple platforms

Publisher Astrolabe Games and developer FUTU Studio have announced that Shanghai Summer will be released for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Switch, and PC via Steam on February 8. The console versions are a recent announcement.

Centered on the themes of “repentance” and “redemption,” Shanghai Summer is a nostalgic adventure game set in Shanghai at the turn of the millennium, with a story told through the eyes of protagonist Tu Baichuan.

Introduction Shanghai Summer is an adventure game set in the millennium. Our protagonist, Baichuan, goes through a series of “anomalies” over twelve days. In his search for the truth, he discovers that his hopes and regrets from the past finally seem to converge. Can he “fix it” once and for all?

History Shanghai, 2003. Suddenly, Baichuan feels that something is not right in his life; Sometimes he feels like she can see his memories, so real but so unknown. It all seems to start with an unexpected invitation from Baichuan’s ex-girlfriend, Qiuyu, who has been absent for many years. Twelve days of summer, like twelve lucid dreams… “Time seems to be acting abnormally on you.”

Gameplay Through “Themes” and “Clues” collected from everyday life, immerse yourself in the hearts and minds of your dearest friends. Be comforted by them; Be inspired by them; Turn all the little things that happened in your life into your own strength and eventually, at the end of the twelfth night… “Fix” the shattered dream.

Scenarios Classrooms, the “What-If” bookstore, the neighborhood coffee shop… Much of the life of every boy and girl revolves around a mundane city scene. And it is precisely within mundanity where some new possibilities exist. The key to changing one’s destiny may very well be in the hand of someone passing through the crowd on the streets…
