Touhou 19 now available on Steam: The new addition to the bullet-hell series


The long-awaited launch has arrived, since Team Shanghai Alice and Mediascape have launched Touhou Juuouen (“Beast King Garden”) ~ Unfinished Dream of All Living Ghostthe 19th installment in Touhou Project’s bullet-hell shooter series, during the Comiket Summer 2023 event. Now, the full game is available on Steam for the price of $14.99. A free demo of the game is also available on Steam. The game is currently not available in English.

This exciting game features a single-player story mode, PVP matches playable via split screen, LAN or online play, Player vs. Computer and games Computer vs. Computer. In competitive mode, players will avoid their opponent’s attacks while launching bursts of bullets in their direction. The gameplay is similar to that of the ninth title, Touhou Flower Reflecting Mound ~ Phantasmagoria of Flower View. Reimu, Marisa and other characters recognizable to fans return once again as playable characters.

This game, like all previous games in the Touhou Project series, is developed by Team Shanghai Alicea doujin group with a single member: ZUNthe creator behind the story, art, and programming of all Touhou Project games. So far, the game is only available in Japanese.
