Sony Interactive Entertainment Japan Asia and King Gnu launch epic collaboration for PlayStation 5

Sony Interactive Entertainment Japan Asia has revealed a new commercial for PlayStation 5 in collaboration with the Japanese rock band King Gnu. This ad features the group’s new song, “):Asura:(.” The original ad campaign highlights the four members of King Gnu personifying the buttons on the PlayStation controller.

Yu Seki represents “Triangle”, Daiki Tsuneta is “Circle”, Kazuki Arai is “X” and Satoru Iguchi is “Square”. Together, these four artists push their limits and become “Giant Gnu.” The fusion of King Gnu’s vibrant music with Sony’s iconic console creates a unique experience that fuses Japan’s pop culture and music scene.

The advertising campaign is not limited to the virtual realm, as it extends to the streets of Tokyo, taking over Harajuku and Shibuya. More than 20 locations in both districts will feature graphic displays that fuse the world of King Gnu with the distinctive aesthetic of PlayStation 5.

This innovative approach not only celebrates the arrival of the PlayStation 5, but also highlights the creativity and convergence of music and video games. Fans can expect an immersive experience in both the digital and physical worlds as King Gnu and PlayStation 5 come together to deliver something unique and exciting.
